Hidden folders

With this solution I have two problems:

1. sub folders of hidden folders are hidden as well, this solution does not respect that fact
2. folders that start with a dot are hidden as well (like i.e. .thumbnails folders), those are not respected by this solution either.

Any ideas how to solve that in a fast way?
