Feature request: use .toml instead of .ini format for the config file

This should not require any change in the code, and allow code editors to highlight errors in the config file.

I support this proposal, I think .toml files have more support in linux contexts compared to .ini file format.
Besides, it could be useful for future more-complex configurations (if they were added).
