Feature Request

Currently, we are using a decades-old self-maintained template to do the job, while nowadays there are libraries like feed that can generate both RSS 2.0, Atom 1.0, and JSON Feed 1.0 with proper format.

Additional context

We could probably drop nunjucks, etc., and leave the feed template thing to other libraries.

Not using an actual XML library is really a bummer. XML is complex, it has many edge cases. Creating your own XML stringifier (w/o any test coverage) for the sake of "0-dependency" is really not an option here. We'd rather use a battle-tested library in this case.
