Port forwarding doesn't reconnect when logging back in

Describe the bug
In previous releases, the forwarding experience was seamless and we never had to reconnect.
Now, when the network is disconnected, the connections seem to be running (not stopped) but we have to reconnect every time.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Start KFTray
2. Start some connections
3. Set the computer to sleep and wake up again
4. Connections seem to be running but they're not

Expected behavior
Connections should be restored

Desktop (please complete the following information):

• OS: MacOS 14.5 (23F79)

i tried reproducing this on macOS 15.5 with kftray v0.18.0 but couldn't replicate the problem:

Tests:

• I put my mac to sleep for an extended period with active connections, and upon wake, all port forwards resumed functioning normally
• I also tested by disabling wifi, putting the Mac to sleep, waking it, and then re-enabling WiFi - also worked fine

could you share more info:

• kftray version
• types of port forwards you're using
• any other details that might help me simulate the issue

just an update - i added a fix for this in PR #397 that monitors network changes and auto-reconnects port forwards as needed.

released in v0.18.1

@hcavarsan Sorry to update that it doesn't always work.
I'm using MacOS on a laptop.
The scenario is a "travel scenario": Connect in the office -> Commute home (1h+) -> Connect at home (fails)

In my case the connection is lost when I close the VPN. When I restart the VPN it would be fantastic if kftray reconnected.

@tekumara @rafi-rr - released v0.20.0 with improved network monitoring and reconnection logic. should handle vpn disconnects and sleep/wake scenarios better now

hey @tekumara that's weird, please i need more details about your setup to try to reproduce this locally.

can you share:

• kftray version you're using
• vpn client/tool (openvpn, wireguard, etc.)
• operating system and version
• kubernetes setup details
• any specific port forward configurations that are failing

in the last version i already tested with openvpn - connecting and disconnecting multiple times - and port forwards were restarted correctly.

for logs, you can enable debug logging:

set RUST_LOG=trace
set KFTRAY_DEBUG=enabled

then run kftray from command line. logs usually will be in:

• macOS: ~/Library/Logs/kftray/app.logs
• Linux: ~/.local/share/kftray/logs/app.logs
• Windows: C:/Users/$USER/.kftray/app.logs

I’m still making some improvements to this flow, but it should be better now.
