Flickering static errors on escaping selection

In certain contexts when you escape selection with the mouse static errors flicker. They seem to persist when evaluation is disabled.

Minimal reproduction:

[(true, false)]: [(Bool, Bool)]

Select from after the right paren to the right of true then click on the comma.
