get_burns errors out even though it's 'working'

Get_burns goes to get you the flares move form the Nova, but tells you it didn't work - it does copy over chargeburn, but doesn't give you the flares section.

Mess around with it and see if you can figure out why it isn't going down certain branches of the if tree.
