Upgrading Haraka

This may sound like a stupid question to some of the folks reading this but I have not been able to find where this is documented. What is the proper way to upgrade haraka? I just want to make sure I am not missing an important step (assuming there is more than one step).
Is this enough?
npm install -g Haraka

Would I also need to do this again?
haraka -i /etc/haraka

And what about upgrading any plugins that I may have installed? How do those get updated? Would this do the trick?
cd /etc/haraka
npm install

There's a number of ways to go about this. I upgrade Haraka by deploying a new version. I have a persistent /data directory for storing the config, queue, and logs. Everything else within the Haraka [container / vm / jail] gets rebuilt with every deploy.

Sometimes. In particular, in the past couple years many of the Haraka plugins have been renamed and repackaged as NPM modules. Sometimes that involved updates to the config files. In such cases, if you have local plugin configs, you'd need to apply your local changes to the new plugin's config file.

FOLLOW UP. When upgrading, read through the CHANGELOG in the newer version and be aware of any breaking changes that require actions.
