if i am in step 10, next step will be 11 and previous one will be 9.

and i added few fucntionalities on stephide on step10 so while hidding the step 10 the hidding functionalites will happen.
But i want to control it when i want go prev from step 10.

so basically the stephide doesnt know the step goes for next or previous.

before the stepHides or while the stephide the stephide should know i am going to prev or next.

how can i fix this issue

What version are you using? In the latest versions StepChangeParams includes direction property you can use to determine if user pressed next or prev.

I'm currently using version 9.3.1 because I'm working with Angular 14.20.0. Is it possible to do this with version 9.3.1?

The feature was introduced in v10 which requires Angular 15.
