What happened:
When generating invitation links for Hackers Pub, I encountered an Internal Server Error after the links are valid for 7 days. The invitation links work properly up until 7 days but start throwing an error after that, making it impossible to generate new invitation links.

I've investigated this issue and found the root cause of the Internal Server Error when generating invitation links with validity periods longer than 7 days.

The problem is in the following code, where the code calls expiresDuration.total("hours") on a Temporal.Duration object:

This method works fine for time-based units like hours and days, but throws a RangeError: Invalid time value when called on calendar-based units like weeks or months. The Temporal API cannot convert these calendar units to precise hour counts because they represent variable durations (e.g., a month can be 28-31 days).

The validation logic should be changed from checking expiresDuration.total("hours") <= 0 to simply validating expiresValue <= 0, since we only need to ensure the parsed numeric value is positive. This would allow invitation links with validity periods of 2+ weeks and months to be created successfully without triggering the server error.
