Disconnect after NimBLERemoteCharacteristic::readValue() with Error 1290

Hello.
I try to get an value from an GATT-Server. It's running fine on nRF Connect on my Smartphone. But on a ESP32 there is an disconnect after reading the Value with an Errorcode 1290 (where i dont know it comes from and what it means)

Did i miss something?

The error code 1290 is security related, I've not seen it before but it seems there is something wrong with the security parmeters somewhere.

0x050a	0x0a	BLE_SM_ERR_INVAL	The Invalid Parameters error code indicates that the command length is invalid or that a parameter is outside of the specified range.
