Way To Pause Trigger Parameter

In the text box, I have the user's text prompting an event but I can't type more than a word without it triggering... wondering if I am missing some sort of command to delay the trigger.

There's currently no way to pause it. You're running into a situation that's particularly noticeable with a textbox: #150

Thank you for the reference. Not sure how feasible it would be but this may be a good feature... or trigger only upon hitting the 'enter' key or something of that nature. I also run into the same thing for the ui.picker. I have 5 or so options but will trigger as soon as the user selects one.
