Replace `eraseTime`, `eraseLapse` and `sliceLines` with custom messages

As of #260, we support overriding timestamp and messages with the .gulp.js file. We should remove the eraseTime, eraseLapse, and sliceLines test utilities and instead override timestamps and messages per test.
