how to prevent the auto navigation from voice-over

Could you please help to investigate the below issues from my scripting issue? the below is my code snippet.

1. await voiceOver.navigateToWebContent(); voiceOver just automatically navigate from the top link until the password text field and cursor stay there and do not move any further. Is there any way to prevent such things occurred.
2. added the mac cmd 'moveToAreaTop' to move the cursor back to the top. but it failed to move.
