• In some project situations, it can be complicated to add Confluence plugin
• The Web Application solution requires to be hosted and updates may not be simple
• A future Mobile app version could help but it often means installing it on a personal device

Browser extensions have reached a pretty standardized status and it it now possible to build on extension and publish it for:

• Google Chrome
• Apple Safari
• Microsoft Edge
• Mozilla Firefox
• Opera

Such extensions can be published on marketplaces so the users cam install them easilly and get automatic updates
