Minimum speed in GRBL firmware

Hi, I'm trying to get my lathe running very slow so it doesn't make as much noise.
It appears that F.1 G1 Z-0.5 runs at the same speed as F1 G1 Z-0.5.
Is it possible to use the G1 command to run at a Feedrate less than 1?

Yes, the code has to be changed to change the limit. Be aware that drivers may apply a lower limit as well, within a range of a few seconds per step.

The stepper drivers max at 6400 pulses per rotation. The cut takes about 30 seconds when F = 1. I'd like it to take around 80 seconds so 0.1 minimum for F would work. Interleaving G1 movements with G4 delays works however it is extra work to add. Does the web compiler handle edits to the C code like you describe? It's for ESP32 DLC 32-bit from Makerbase.
