How to do major upgrades of teleport OSS (ex: 15 to 17)

I'd like to upgrade my teleport install from version 15 to 17. I tried to run the install script again, but it complains about a conflict of repos, which hints me to the fact it's not the right right way.

What is the best way to do a major upgrade of Teleport OSS given that teleport-upgrade is not available for the OSS version?

Hello! Same question here - how to gracefully upgrade to major version for windows-based systems? I have an infra with AD-joined windows desktops and also some non-AD desktops. How to upgrade everything properly?

Sorry, I missed the reply.

We tried to run the upgrade by running the install script on the existing instance, but it failed to setup the new repositories. We manually removed the repos from version 15 but then the machine because inaccessible when the upgrade completed.

I'll try again and come back with a more detailed answer if it fail again.

I decided to setup a new cluster from scratch, which made the process much easier than migrating my current instance.
