The extension "GraphQL: Language Feature Support" doesn't read environment from .env files. Is this normal?

Edit:

It seems that the graphql.config.yaml file doesn't read the .env in the root of the project. But when I add "graphql-config.dotEnvPath": ".env", it does.

Should we add the default path of dotEnvPath to the root of the project?
