Thanks for moving this to a discussion! I understand that showing full place hierarchies can lead to longer text strings, which might look cluttered in some views. However, I see strong benefits:
A good compromise might be to make this configurable—default to off, but allow users to enable full hierarchy display if they prefer. |

In earlier versions of Gramps Web, it was possible to see the full place hierarchy (e.g. Celle / Landkreis Celle / Niedersachsen / Germany) next to a person's birth date. This feature seems to have been removed or is no longer visible in the current version.
I would love to see this functionality restored. When viewing a person, it’s extremely helpful to see not just the city/town of birth, but also the administrative regions above it. This provides better historical and geographical context, especially for genealogical research.
