Restore Full Place Hierarchy Display for Birthplaces

In earlier versions of Gramps Web, it was possible to see the full place hierarchy (e.g. Celle / Landkreis Celle / Niedersachsen / Germany) next to a person's birth date. This feature seems to have been removed or is no longer visible in the current version.

I would love to see this functionality restored. When viewing a person, it’s extremely helpful to see not just the city/town of birth, but also the administrative regions above it. This provides better historical and geographical context, especially for genealogical research.

Suggested enhancement:

• Display the full place hierarchy next to the birth date (or other event dates) in the person view.

Thanks for moving this to a discussion! I understand that showing full place hierarchies can lead to longer text strings, which might look cluttered in some views.

However, I see strong benefits:

• Improved context: Seeing the full hierarchy (e.g. village → district → state → country) helps quickly understand where a place belongs.
• Better recognition: Some village names are unfamiliar or ambiguous, but district or region names are much more meaningful to users.
• Genealogical clarity: It’s easier to spot patterns and connections between people when place relationships are visible.

A good compromise might be to make this configurable—default to off, but allow users to enable full hierarchy display if they prefer.
