Downsampling Grafana Alloy

Hello,

Is there a way to set a sampling rate in Grafana Alloy? So when receiving profiles from SDK, Alloy down samples the profiles.
Is there any incoming idea?

You can set sampling rate (number of stacktrace samples collected per second) for pyroscope.ebpf and pyroscope.java
If you scrape go pprofs, it is not possible.

If you mean by downsampling something else - please describe what you mean a bit more

I mean if I'm using the Grafana Alloy to receive the profiles from users that are using Pyroscope SDK and set their own sample rates, but the Grafana Alloy must down samples the received profiles to avoid any failure in the backend.

One thing you can do on the alloy side is to use https://grafana.com/docs/alloy/latest/reference/components/pyroscope/pyroscope.relabel/ and use action drop for some rule to drop some rules. for example you can do hashmomd 5 and then drop 0
