Grafana creates folder using namespace value

Hi, Everyone!

I have a question. I'm creating a Grafana dashboard using the crd: GrafanaDashboard and, I'm specifying allowCrossNamespaceImport spec as true. When I deploy it, that dashboard appears into a folder with the same name as the namespace that contains that GrafanaDashboard instance. I thought that if I don't specify any reference folder, that dashboard would appear in the root of the default folder. My question is: Is this behavior expected?

I haven't found any documentation that mention this detail.

Is there any way that I can deploy my GrafanaDashboards using the same configuration mentioned before but those appear in the root of dashboards page?

I installed grafana operator using Helm Chart and the version that I installed was: v5.18.0.

Hi, we've had similar questions a few times now and will probably update the documentation soon.
In the meantime, you can achieve it by doing:

  folder: "General"
