Garmin produces OEM GPS modules that have 8-pin connector
for flex cable with TTL serial data and PPS signal. A PMOD would
be great that is described as

Garmin OEM 15 L and H Flex Cable Socket 8 Pin
Garmin OEM GPS 15 L and H 1mm Pitch Power Data Cable 8 Pin

"L" means low-voltage version 3.3V and suitable for PMOD.
H is same connector but high voltage, should not be considered
supporting here.

Some other products internally also seem to have same
connector, though undocumented so we are not yet sure will
it work. Here is picture of open Garmin GLO which has
probably the same connector.
