Contributing to DataLab

Our goal is to build a complete interactive environment for working with code and data, and a productive tool that integrates well with Google Cloud Platform. We've only just started, and there are several ways you can help us.

Feel free to fork, and work on your contribution. For larger ones, we appreciate creating an issue as the first step, and discuss the idea, and brainstorm it further.

Here are some ideas to get started.

• Identify issues - you can start by identifying and filing issues along with details when you run into them, so we can collectively improve DataLab.

• Samples, samples, and samples - we hope to build a gallery of interesting notebooks, that show how you can effectively use Cloud DataLab and Google Cloud Platform to do interesting things with data. Note that our samples are kept in a different repository.

• Python libraries - we welcome contributions to our datalab Python package
