appendAnimation method missing

Hey,
my model-viewer element does not appear to have the appendAnimation method as described in the docs: https://modelviewer.dev/docs/index.html#:~:text=property%20to%200.-,appendAnimation,-(animationName%2C%20options%3A%20%7Brepetitions

I'm using v4.0.0. Does anyone have a clue as to why it might not be available?

found out it isn't in release yet but is in current dev here
