Customize author migration

Hi

I am new to copybara, our project requests to process author by their domain, like xxx@domainA.com and yyy@domainB.com. Need to passthrough all users from domainA, but for Domain B, want to alter them as default one.

I have two questions:

1. can I create a customized function to assign to authoring inside workflow?
2. how can I get the current commit author info to pass to this function?

if there is any example, that will be great appreciated.

Right now, the best option is probably to enumerate all domainA users and then have domainB fall through. We don't currently have an Authoring implementation that allows startlark to pass in a callable, even though it should be fairly straightforward to add. Right now, you can construct the list in a starlark function, but it wouldn't be able to access any change details. One hack that might work (but haven't tried) - you can add a dynamic transform in starlark and might be able to dynamically alter the exposed change object.

Thanks for quick response. I am guessing, if I can create two workflows, and call first workflow to access change details and process them in function and add the result as acceptable list to a file. then in sky file load this file and then call second workflow to use the filtered list as fill in data

It's absolutely possible, but requires a refactor of the current Authoring class to not use an enum. I cannot say when that would happen, unless it is contributed.

Actually, looking at it, it's a pretty minor change, might be able to squeeze it in.

Before looking at any new features though, as I mentioned above, this should be doable by accessing the change object in a starlark transform.
