[Bug]: Unable to remove/disable Astian's adblocker

Bug Summary

Disabling or removing the adblocker does not work properly

Reproduction Steps

Case 1: Removal

1. Remove the adblocker
2. Close browser and clear the cache
3. restart browser and check addon manager
4. adblocker reappears and is re-enabled

Case 2: Deactivation

1. Deactivate the adblocker
2. Close browser and clear the cache
3. restart browser and check addon manager
4. adblocker automatically re-enabled

Expected Behavior

Case 1:
User should not have the option to remove the extension
Case 2:
Extension should not be automatically re-enabled and should stay deactivated after cache clear and restart

Actual Behavior

Case 1:
User can remove the extension
Case 2:
Deactivating the extension does not work properly

The adblock can be deactivated however it cannot be removed, it is a key component, you can deactivate it but not remove it.

Anyway I modified the issue to reflect this.

Same issue, even if I disable the addon it gets re-enabled automatically.
That's very weird. Midori was one of my favourite browser till this issue came up.
I would request the devs to kindly resolve this in next update.

Pre-release version 11.5.3 has the same issues.
I disable the adblocker, clear the cache and after restarting the browser, the adblocker is automatically re-enabled.

In my case, I figured out that the adblocker made it so nothing appeared in my bookmarks toolbar. The first time I opened Midori the bookmarks on the bookmark toolbar would appear, but they would disappear after every restart. The same would happen if I refreshed the browser or did a full uninstall. The toolbar would show bookmarks only once, then they would disappear every time I restarted the browser.

So I tried disabling the adblocker as that was the only extension I had and the toolbar worked normally again. Unfortunately, as others have said, it just reactivates every time I restart the browser. Too annoying. So I'm using another browser until these issues get resolved.

So I reinstalled Midori after seeing the new version. So far, it appears version 11.5.3 has resolved the issues I described.

Problem has been solved in pre-release version 12.
However, I'm not sure if this ticket should remain open or be closed as it looks like the adblocker has been removed altogether.
But what if in the future this feature/extension is re-integrated to the browser? then will this bug happen again?
