can we get additional information with inventory module

Your idea

we need get information from tag "description" for a command "lsb erlease -a"
also we can get this information from file "/etc/%OS name%-release", but can not get this information from file "/etc/os-release"
can we config inventory module to get this additional information ?

inventory module can't be "configured" to get additional information.

Enhancements can only be coded. If you have a more details about the context and the information you want to be reported, we can evaluate if we can code it. For instance, you can share file name and content and tell what you expect in which inventory field.
