actually, if you have a linux system which supports debian or rpm packaging, you can use the provided ones as they don't depend on arch. You just need perl and required modules.

For AppImage, I don't know if this is easy to create.

I have some devices to inventory (maybe once) which do not have much space, e.g. 2 or 4 GB of storage. So I want to keep the footprint as low als possible. So something portable would be ideal (which could run from USB Stick or network file system.
