Pi-Hole DNS stats on Glance

Hey!

I'm trying to configure my glance page for showing Pi-Hole stats but it's giving me a headache right now.

I have it on my file like this:

But I'm getting this error:

I should add: it's running in a docker container on the same Pi the Pi-Hole is running on, not sure if that might be an issue.

Hey, resolution of pi.hole is done through mDNS which doesn't work from within a Docker container. To get around this you can add your Pi-hole and Glance containers to the same network and then use the container name instead of pi.hole, or give Glance's container network_mode: "host", though that does come with a few caveats which you may not want. Alternatively, you may be able to use host.docker.internal instead of pi.hole. I'm not entirely sure which one of these is the best choice as I haven't had to deal with this, though at least one of them should work.

Okay I'm not sure I understand it correctly, do I change the url part?

I've tried to set the network to host using Portainer but sadly that returns more errors. 🫣

Oh man, I just got it working. Not sure why, but Pi-Holes webui is using port 8080 instead of 80.
