Cherry Tree 1.5.0
Windows 11 23H2
Describe the bug
We recently upgraded to Windows 11 at the company I work at. This was not a problem with Windows 10.
When using the Windows 11 Snip Tool, if invoked by the PrntScr key, the image is copied to the clip board, but will not paste into CherryTree.
To Reproduce
- Setup Windows 11 PrntScr key to invoke the Snipping Tool (Settings > Accessibility > Keyboard > Turn on "Use the Print screen key to open screen capture)
- Press PrntScr, then draw a rectangle on the screen of the area to capture. A notification will pop up once the capture is done - do not click this notification.
- Start 'Paint'. Paste the image. It pastes OK into paint, showing the image is in the clipboard.
- Start CherryTree. Attempt to paste the image. Nothing happens.
Work Around
For now, there is a work around (but I only think to use it after the image doesn't paste):
In step 2 above, when the notification shows that the image was captured, select that notification. Doing so opens the capture in the Snipping Tool main window. The very act of opening the capture in the Snipping Tool main window seems to 'fix' the image in the clipboard, allowing it to paste into CherryTree.
