GitHub avatar fetching using a primary email

Hey,

I saw some old issues and feature requests about GitHub avatar fetching and I'd like to know where is it now?

Is GitLens capable of fetching a GitHub avatar if we configured git with the primary email associated with our GitHub account? Because it definitively doesn't work for me. Tried it a bit earlier and GitLens showed my GitHub avatar when I used the NoReply email address but since I made my primary email address public on GitHub it just shows the generic robot icon.

Ok I just noticed we have to connect to GitHub via GitLens in the "Remotes" section. Why is that though? It works without connection using a NoReply email address. Is it a technical limitation?
