Executive Summary

Extend the spec-kit repository to include a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that provides universal access to project specifications, making them available to any AI coding agent that supports the MCP standard, rather than relying on agent-specific command implementations.

Problem Statement

Current limitations:

• Each AI agent requires custom integration (/commands, plugins, extensions)
• Duplicate implementation effort across different tools
• Inconsistent interfaces between AI agents
• Limited interoperability

Proposed Solution
