Disabling tray icon in settings does not work

Thanks for this app, fellow Italian linux user! (:

I have this problem where I'm not able to disable the tray icon. I also tried disabling it in the gsettings, but the icon is still there. Occours on both compiled from source and flatpak version. I'm using Gnome on Arch.
