creating specific language models from the large model.

Is it possible to do this?
or Is there a lot more to the large model than just the language data it contains?
I tried to convert a specific language model on huggingface using the convert-pt-to-ggml.py script
but had a lot of trouble with getting it to work. Thought there 'd be another way.
