design: create a smooth experience for missing windows license

Like Cap.so , we have "trust" issues with Windows installation. A good approach is just to give a visual heads up to our users so they know how to resolve this issue.

Just some questions on the ux, would this mean creating a new downloads page similar to cap.so or would you prefer to keep dl buttons on the dashboard?

Hey @theodkp thanks for your interest on working with this issue. Not bothering at all.

As our landing page is not public, and also we want users first to sign-up (difference with Cap is that there is no case of using Hopp without an account), I would say we could add also something when the users download the Windows app from inside the dashboard.

Maybe a pop-up (https://ui.shadcn.com/docs/components/dialog), that would say "Your download started" and a gif explaining the signature issue?

What do you think?

Heads-up, you can start the web app from inside the web-app folder to have smoother dev XP.

@theodkp we might be able to sign the app we will spike this soon.

If you've started that's cool we will get this in for as long as the app is unsigned. But if you want to work on alternative issues I collected some easy wins:
