Important

Build from source on Windows

Binaries are not yet available for windows so you will first need to build Gazebo Jetty from source following the instructions in
https://gazebosim.org/docs/jetty/install_windows_src/

Process

Step 1 - Instructions work

If the tutorial is an .sdf file, please open the file and read the comments at the top of the file.

Step 2 - Images (if there are any) match the result

If the tutorial is an .sdf file, post a screenshot of the simulation run.

Step 3 - Comment status

Include a special comment at the end of your post to indicate pass/fail. Use either [status: passed] or [status: failed].

I could not install ; I was stuck on "5. Install dependencies"

I tried but failed :

conda install cmake git vcstool curl pkg-config colcon-common-extensions dartsim eigen freeimage gdal gts glib dlfcn-win32 ffmpeg ruby tinyxml2 tinyxml protobuf urdfdom zeromq cppzmq ogre=1.10 ogre-next jsoncpp libzip qt pybind11 boost --channel conda-forge

Then I decided to install individually so ....

Group 1 - Core tools: conda install cmake git vcstool curl pkg-config --channel conda-forge

Group 2 - Colcon: conda install colcon-common-extensions --channel conda-forge

Group 3 - Physics and math libraries: conda install dartsim eigen --channel conda-forge

Group 4 - Image and data processing: conda install freeimage gdal gts --channel conda-forge

Group 5 - System libraries: conda install glib dlfcn-win32 --channel conda-forge

Group 6 - Media libraries: conda install ffmpeg ruby --channel conda-forge

Group 7 - XML and protocol libraries: conda install tinyxml2 tinyxml protobuf --channel conda-forge

Group 8 - Networking and messaging: conda install urdfdom zeromq cppzmq --channel conda-forge

Group 9 - Graphics libraries: conda install ogre=1.10 ogre-next --channel conda-forge

Group 10 - Utility libraries: conda install jsoncpp libzip qt pybind11 boost --channel conda-forge

I get error in Group 10
So then again...

conda install jsoncpp --channel conda-forge [Success]
conda install libzip --channel conda-forge [Success]
conda install qt --channel conda-forge [Success]
conda install qt-main --channel conda-forge [Success]
conda install pybind11 --channel conda-forge [Success]

Hi! You can also take the pixi route for the conda packages as alternative. I was able to resolve it with the following toml file with no errors with adding boost

However, the colcon build in the pixi environment resulted in this error for me, so still debugging that. The colcon graph did work but didn't show gz-utils-cli

We are discussing the update of the documents to change miniconda by Pixi. See #1834 (comment).

However, the colcon build in the pixi environment resulted in this error for me, so still debugging that. The colcon graph did work but didn't show gz-utils-cli

The environment seems to be missing the cli11 dependency so the gz-utils cli component can be built and gz-plugin is happy again. In our Windows CI we are using this file: https://github.com/gazebo-tooling/release-tools/blob/master/conda/envs/noble_like/pixi.toml
