Possible to tell other docker containers to stop when backrest is also running as a docker container?

I recently switched from a simple debian box (where I was using restic & resticprofile) to an unraid box, where I am using backrest. However, when using resticprofile I was telling it to stop the other docker containers prior to backing the folders up. With the new box, backrest is running as a container itself - will it still somehow be possible to tell the other containers to stop, back them up and restart them?

This was more straightforward than I thought and apparently I did not search well enough. There was a nearly complete instruction set here: #346

I am now using the following commands as hooks after adding /var/run/docker.sock to the mounted paths in backrest:

containers=$(docker ps -a | grep -v "backrest" | awk 'NR>1 {print $1}')
if [ -n "$containers" ]; then
    docker stop $containers
fi

docker start $(docker ps -a -q)
