Performance issue caused be regenerating images using size array - possible fix.

I'm not really sure if this is maintained any more - it's a really handy plugin and I for one would love to know if it will be.

I've been having a performance issue whereby it seems that images pulled into a theme using a size array are being regenerated and causing extreme slow-down.

On a search the fix discussed here does seem to work.

If maintenance happens, it would be helpful to have this included (if viable).
