I'd love to be able to try it out, but it is still completely unusable for me on Linux Mint Xia with Mint-L-Dark theme. All UI items are cut off, or not visible. This isn't happening with any other AppImage or program I have so far, so it's very likely there's something not quite right with how friction handles themeing and UI sizing.

See #341 - the crash is happening with or without the extra command, and the video shows it already. Nothing has changed ... or is fixed ... except that the report is closed now.

As all other apps work, there must be something fishy going on with friction. Is it doing anything extraordinary code-wise that isn't also done by apps like audacity, gimp, kdenlive, openshot, inkscape and the likes? And could it be made to give some more debug output on the command line?

That's an interesting viewpoint... not something I'd agree with. Trying to figure things out instead of closing bugs would be the way that would help friction users more.

Issue #341 was closed since I concluded that this was a GPU (driver) issue, but I might be wrong.

I can't test anything, if you want to test please download some random live distros and try them on your machine, then report back.

Thank you, I'll try some out and will get back to you. Is there a way to make friction output more useful debugging information?
