@ple1n Leaving aside a trivial fact that you won’t be able to have pretty much any software if someone else did not write a toolchain to begin with (nobody has enough time to do literally everything from scratch), there is a logical problem when a tool aimed at facilitating freedom of communication is exclusively provided in a poorly portable exotic language (despite its possible advantages in some aspects). “It’s your problem, go fix Rust” is not really an answer. I simply won’t use this tool, and eventually, but inevitably, you exclude a subset of possible users. Which is clearly undesirable for a communication platform. |
