@ple1n Leaving aside a trivial fact that you won’t be able to have pretty much any software if someone else did not write a toolchain to begin with (nobody has enough time to do literally everything from scratch), there is a logical problem when a tool aimed at facilitating freedom of communication is exclusively provided in a poorly portable exotic language (despite its possible advantages in some aspects). “It’s your problem, go fix Rust” is not really an answer. I simply won’t use this tool, and eventually, but inevitably, you exclude a subset of possible users. Which is clearly undesirable for a communication platform.

Solve your hellhole of dependency management of cpp first. Last time I checked, the average cpp software cant be run like cargo r

If anything I'd rather have this software written in something like Fstar but these languages are nowhere practical. I dont like Rust It's a language deprived of features.
