s3 as a storage backend

Hi, i'm quite new to erpnext and couldn't find an explicit statement in documentation for both erpnext and the helm chart, so thought it's better to ask here.

Could you please clarify what are the persistent volumes used for, considering that i have an external DBs and Redis.
Does the application really needs the filestorage to be shared between pods and is it possible to use an s3-like storage instead of volumes?

There is no explicit statement anywhere.

Even configs and secrets are kept in these volumes 🤦‍♂️

If you ask someone from the frappe team the answer will be, send a PR to change it.

Best workaround is to use AWS EFS or NFS self-hosted.
