Is this repo ever coming back?

It seems like the repository is dead, over 5 months without a commit, 114 open pull requests, and no updates on whether development will resume.

Does anyone have any information? Should we wait, or consider forking the repo? It would be helpful to have some kind of update posted in a visible place by the owner.

Folke commented in a Reddit post about a couple months ago that he would be travelling for most of June-September and he wouldn't do Neovim stuff and even before that he was afk because he was training for a super marathon that will take place on September (according to his own words). So a probable update from him will likely come October or November about what he intends to do. If there isn't any update until then from his side anyone is free to assume whatever.

It’s a pity that this information isn’t in the repo, but instead in some random place on Reddit.

It’s an awesome project, it would be sad to see it die. I hope this repo gets back on track one day.

It would also be nice to have an additional maintainer in case of a long absence. There are many pull requests that could be merged.
