Inconsistent Sorting in Buffers Picker Despite sort_lastused = true

Hi, I'm experiencing inconsistent sorting when opening the buffers picker. I can't really identify a pattern, it seems like they're being sorted randomly or by a value that doesn't make sense to me. I have sort_lastused set to true, so I expect that if I open files 1, 2, and 3 in that order, then the buffers picker should show them as 3, 2, 1, with file 3 at the top.

However, right now the order seems random. For example, after opening files 1, 2, and 3, I might see them listed as 3, 1, 2.

How can I ensure they're sorted strictly by last used?
Also, is there a way to hide the currently active buffer from the list?

It works fine and relies on the Neovim API vim.fn.getbufinfo(buf)[1].lastused. The only catch is that if you open files too quickly, they may have the same timestamp, which can break the order. ChatGPT answered that the delay is approximately 1 second.

Hide the currently active buffer from the list:

There's also the limitation of the buffers picker that it actually shows the real buffer in the preview and this affects that lastused changes when you preview the buffer. Maintainer has acknowledged it as won't fix and this was the intention if I'm not mistaken.

I haven't thoroughly tested this code, but it should work.

I tried using the sort field as a function, but it wasn't even called (maybe a bug).
