If you use snacks.explorer then you could just select the directory you want and press <leader>/ to grep in that directory.

I'm very much addicted to mini.files thus the need to dedicated "search in dir" picker 😄

I have all of my repos under ~/code, so I use

but it doesn't interactively allow one to input the directory....

Edit: it doesn't look like this would answer your question though...

I've edit my initial post with a working solution. Feel free to try it out.
It's a project specific search. Dir search is based on cwd.

Is there a way to give it a different default base directory? I tried setting cwd but it failed to go to the next step after picking a directory.

with that said, using ctrl-g to fuzzy filter the paths/files has been a huge plus for me. @folke does awesome work!
