Install missing plugins without updating lockfile

Greetings,

Is there anyway to install missing plugins at the revision in the lockfile?

I'd like to install the plugins on startup without trying to update the lockfile.

That is already how it works. Missing plugins will be installed to the lock file ref if it exists

Oh yeah, sorry about that. My confusion happend because I was getting Permission Denied when running the initialization in a new nix store.

I've packaged my configuration into a nix flake, which means I'm running into some problems due to lazy-lock.json being read-only in the nix store.

I'll try and figure out some work-araounds maybe.

It seems both restore and install call require("lazy.manage.lock").update() though?

yes, every change to the plugin state changes the lockfile. That's what a lockfile is for.
