How to auto load legacy vimscript plugins?

Just managed to convert my Packer conf to Lazy and all is work fine except a few legacy vimscript plugins.

I have this at the beginning of my init.lua:

vim.opt.runtimepath:prepend{ '~/.vim' }
vim.opt.runtimepath:append{ '~/.vim/after' }
vim.cmd('source ~/.vimrc')

Under ~/.vim I have:

~/.vim/plugin/bufexplorer.vim
~/.vim/plugin/taglist.vim
~/.vim/after/plugin/bufexplorer.vim

These .vim files used to be auto loaded when I was using Packer but I failed to find out how to do this with Lazy.

Any idea?

Sorry I did not get it. I did a grep -ri ftp under lazy.nvim/doc and found nothing. Do you mean ftplugin by ftp?

OK. I copied .vim files into nvim/plugin and it works. But how about ~/.vim/after/*/*.vim files? Actually I have a few more under ~/.vim/indent/, ~/.vim/colors/ and ~/.vim/syntax/.

OK. Seems like this works:

nvim/after/plugin/bufexplorer.vim
nvim/plugin/bufexplorer.vim

Will try indent and syntax files.

Tried the performance.rtp.paths but it did not work. After nvim starts, :set rtp can see ~/.vim and ~/.vim/after but the .vim files are not loaded.

Double confirmed and colors/indent/syntax works fine. ~/.vim/plugin/*.vim not loaded. But ~/.vim/after/plugin/*.vim is loaded. Weird.

For now, this works for me.

• Don't touch rtp.paths at all.
• Make a copy of ~/.vim/{after,colors,indent,plugin,syntax} to ~/.config/nvim/.
