Close Lazynvim window after automatically opening on startup?

Lazynvim opens a window automatically on startup when installing new plugins. The window doesn't close by itself, and it becomes focused after I automatically restore a session with persistence.nvim with a vimenter autocmd. Could the window close before the vimenter event?

This is the expected behavior. Press q after the new plugin is finished installing and this will close the lazy window.

The problem is that when I pick a session to restore with persistence, a buffer gets loaded into the floating lazynvim window rather than the main window.

If the floating window is still open when restoring a session, that's the expected behavior. The lazy window doesn't automatically close after installing plugins, so you need to manually close it before restoring the session. However, if the window reopens even after you've closed it, you should report the issue on https://github.com/folke/persistence.nvim.

As a potential solution, you can create an autocommand that triggers on PersistenceLoadPre to check if the current buffer's filetype is 'lazy'. If it is, the autocommand can close the window, ensuring you’re in the main window before the session loads.
