How to make luarocks use lua 5.1 on Fedora 40?

I tried aliasing luarocks to luarocks --lua-version 5.1 in my .zshrc, but forgot nvim doesn't recognize bash aliases. Even writing a config doesn't work because it defaults to "/etc/luarocks/config-5.4.lua" and "/home/user/.luarocks/config-5.4.lua"
