"pattern not matched" with Apache log, maybe locale-related?

Greetings
These are my first steps with Fluentd and I'm trying to send Apache access log to it. However I see this error:

#0 pattern not matched: "172.16.238.11 -  24/f\xC3\xA9vr./2023:13:10:58 +0100 \"GET /index.php\" 200"

I'm not sure how to investigate and fix this, maybe it's related to the month name being in French?

Actually I was mapping the wrong file, my mistake.
