Fluentd does not read the logs generated by apache2

Trying out a POC using the steps mentioned at https://docs.fluentd.org/how-to-guides/apache-to-s3

Fluentd does not read the access.log file generated by apache2.

td-agent.txt

Steps carried out:
1 -> Generate apache2 logs
2 -> .pos file contains the data
3 -> Nothing comes up in the /var/log/td-agent/buffer or /var/log/td-agent/s3

Any help related to this issue would be highly appreciated. Thanks!
