Since telemetry is now opt-out, we need to be incredibly clear about what information we collect to avoid upset users and bad PR. Here's an example page: https://docs.zed.dev/general/telemetry

Thanks. We should also create an issue asking us to look at how we respond to a GDPR request from a user. Because, I have seen first hand how someone who is angry can weaponize gdpr and cost a company huge amounts of time/money responding to GDPR requests where a person has mobilized dozens or hundreds of people to initiate the requests. We should have an automated way to aggregate and report PII data on our users where we are retaining it to avoid that.
